DOOR OF HOPE - Pastor E.A.Kaulumah |
Blessed be the name of the Lord our God. Our God is good. He's a very present help in trouble (Ps. 46)I would like to welcome us into this month of March which is our month of DOOR OF HOPE. “Therefore, behold, I will allure (attract, magnetized, attention) her, will bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfort to her. “God may speak in one way or in another, Yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night. When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds. Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction. In order to turn man from his deed. And conceal pride from man. He keeps back his soul from the pit, And his life from perishing by the sword. Man is also chastened with pain on his bed, And with strong pain in many of his bones. So that his life abhors bread, And his soul succulent foods. His flesh wastes away from sight, And his bones stick out which once were not seen. Yes his soul draw near the Pit, And his life the executioners. If there is a messenger for him, A mediator, one among a thousand, To show man His uprightness, Then He is gracious to him and says “Deliver him from going down to the Pit; I have found a ransom. His flesh shall be young like a child's. He shall return to the days of his youth. He shall pray to god, and He will delight in him, He shall see His face with joy, For He restore to man his righteousness” (Job 33:14-26). We see the lamentation in the above scripture. Our faithful God always try speaking to us in different ways, but our ears are deaf we cannot hear, and our eyes are blind we cannot see. When God want to attract our attention so that He can to speak to us. He allows strange things to happen to or around us. Many times, God wants our attention, but we are too busy, and our ears become dull that we cannot hear Him. Sometimes the cares of this world do blind us, and we cannot see the Lord. When God wanted to attract the attention of Moses, He caused fire to burn in the bush but did not consume it. When Jacob was having issues and afraid of his brother. He went to discuss with God and Jacob took his time with Him seriously and finally God permanently changed his life. Its only when we pay attention to Him that we will receive comfort. “The Word of God is proven, and He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him” (Prov.30:5). We receive comfort from God on assuring us to do what he promised to do. Joseph saw his greatness and things were getting bad and harder for him. Joseph situation was hopeless, accused of rape and imprisoned. Right from that prison; God set him on the throne. Let us pay attention to God. Let us go to God in prayer. Job said; “Though He (God) slay me, yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15). “All the days of my appointed time will I wait till my change come” (Job 14:14). I will give her; her vineyards from there and the Valley of Achor as a door of hope. The vineyards the Lord has promised here are martial, financial, health spiritual growth, peace, etc. Right in that hopeless situation; the Lord will give you your vineyards. “she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, as in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt” (Hos 2:14-15) “When the Lord returns the captivity of Zion; we are like those that dream then our mouth filled with singing; then said they among the heathen, the Lord has done great things for them “the Lord has done great thing and we are glad”(Ps 126:1-3). We will rejoice in His mighty wonders. In the above scriptures; we see what God promised to do for us. I pray that in this month you will receive your own vineyards in the name of Jesus Christ. It is not the will of God for you to live in the shadows of others. The Lord want you to own your things in life. You might have been surviving on the vineyards of others but the desire of the Lord for your life is to have your own. You have been living a hopeless life and the doors of hopelessness have been opened against you. From this month, God has vowed by himself to give you your own vineyards and open the doors of hope for you. Our God is a God of second chance. He is the hope to the hopeless, shield in times of war and shelter to all who trust in Him. Hope in the mercy of God. “Behold the eyes of the Lord is on those who fear Him. On those who hope on His mercy. To deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine” (Ps. 33:18-19). Its God who qualifies us to be His children. Let us hold unto His mercy. Hope in His Word. “My soul faint for your salvation but I hope in Your word” (Ps. 119:81). “I wait on the Lord. My soul waits, and in His word do I hope” (Ps. 130:5) Hope in His rebuke and chastening. “His rod and His staff comfort me” (Ps23:4) My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him, for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives” (Heb 12:5-6).
