DIVINE PERFECTION
Blessed be the Lord our God, who daily loads us with His benefits. “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him” (Nahum 1:7 NKJV).
“THE LORD WILL PERFECT THAT WHICH CONCERNS ME; Your mercy, O Lord endures forever; do not forsake the works of your hands”. (Psalm 138:8 NKJV)
Last year was our year of OVERFLOWING ANOINTING. We are all living testimonies how God did wonders in our lives and families. The impossible became possible even our students performed very well. There were great increase in our businesses and works. The little among us became very great army. The feeble ones became strong nations. The weak hearted received divine boldness, and many testimonies, all because of the anointing of God. In the anointing; there is power to do great things. We thank God for everything because He is faithful! Praise the Lord!!!
Beloved, this is our year of DIVINE PERFECTION. For this year to be as the Lord has declared; let us dig deep into the word of God and I would love us to read this bulletin carefully and prayerfully. May God bless us, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
First of all, I would like to start by looking at some of the meaning of perfection. Perfection means completion. By the grace of God, the Lord will complete His works which He has committed into our hands. Perfection means to finish. Jesus said on the cross “It is finished” (John 19:30), It is a concluded or finished work. It also means wholeness or accomplishment. On the cross of Calvary, our redemption, healing, salvation, restoration, victories, deliverance, sanctification was finished. So, we are to enjoy the beautiful and wonderful works of the Lord in the land of the living.
As children of God; God has divinely positioned us in our families, marriages, jobs, environments and nations to perfect all which concerns us. He has given us a mandate to rule in the midst of our enemies, (Ps 110:2). He has declared it to us “we are priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek (Ps 110:4). God wants the best for us as we are on this earth just as we are going to be with Him when He will come to take us home (heaven) (3 John 1:2).
The problem/s which we are going through now; is not to overcome us. Disappoint which we experiencing many years now is not to overpower us. Our spiritual lives which we have been struggling to stand right are not going to be the same again in this year of perfection. In the year of perfection, it is a year where impossibilities become possible (Lk 1:37). The barren women give birth to their children (Ps.113:9). The scattered homes unite by the power of God (Ps. 133:1) It is a year where we have a great expectation and the bible says “our expectations will not be cut off” (Prov. 23:18). It is a year where God leads and we follow. It is also a year where we let go of our fears, pains, anxiety, worry, disgrace, rejection, etc. it is a year where you go back and conquer that problem/s in your life e.g. education, business, or any project which we abandoned. It is a year of great faith. It is a year of unspeakable and unlimited power of God in action. It is a year of fruitfulness. It is a year of great glory. It is a year of remembrance.
We must expect the blessings of God in greater manifestation.
Perfection is Very Important to Our Daily Lives Because:
- “When God created all things; He saw that it is good” including you and I. (Gen 1:31)
- “He created us in His own image”, (his mindset and his strong will, ability and capability of God, Gen 1:27)
- “He gave us power, mandate, authority and dominion to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth” (Gen 1:26-28)
- “We must be perfect just as our Father in heaven is perfect” (Matt. 5:48)
- “He is God who had made everything beautiful in His time” (Eccl. 3:11)
- “God’s works are perfect, all His ways are just” (Deut. 32:4)
- “The word of the Lord is perfect” (Ps. 19:7)
- “Whatever God has done shall be forever and no one can add anything on it. God does these so that men should fear before Him” (Eccl. 3:14)
- “You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day”(Deut. 8:18)
- “He has wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was written against us which was contrary to us” (Gal 3:13-14)
These few scriptures are to open our eyes on what God has said in our lives.
How We Are Going To Be Perfected
In the book of Genesis 17:1-2, God spoke to Abraham saying “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless (perfect) and I will make my covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly” (greatly, mightily, exceptionally, extraordinarily, remarkably, extremely).
Beloved, our perfection is from God. Remember no one is righteous or can do anything very well if God did not strengthen or done it. “It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. OUR QUALIFICATION COMES FROM GOD” (2 Cor. 3:5 NLT). It is not about our past or where we are coming from. What matters is God who has qualified us to inherit the riches of the kingdom. It’s God who heals all our diseases. It’s God who will perfect all which concerns us.
Our lives will only be perfect when we:-
- are in Christ Jesus-(John. 3:3-21, John 15:1-8)
- know what the Lord has said concerning our lives, i.e. His promises, what God likes and does not like (Jer. 29:11)
- are holding unto God’s word- (Isa. 55:11)
- are walking in the wisdom of God-“Wisdom is better than strength”(Eccl. 9:16a NKJV) “Wisdom is better than weapons of war”(Eccl. 9:18a NKJV)
- we know that we are in partnership with God (Eph. 2:10)
- purpose in our heart like Daniel and his friends not to defile ourselves (Dan. 1:8)
- Knowing the Power in the Word of God. “The word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart” (Heb. 4:12). THE WORD OF GOD WHICH WE CALLED THE BIBLE IS A WORD WITH A VISION ON A MISSION TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT IS SENT FORTH. Behind every scripture is power. It comes with divine power of God which perfects all that concerns us. It is powerful and strong and it has different features:
- ü Resurrection Power: This is the power that is in charge of bringing back what was dead in our lives. Just like Jesus called Lazarus out of the grave and he came out alive (John 11:40-44) So, whatsoever, that looks dead in our lives must come back to life, in the name of Jesus! Ezekiel prophesied to the dried and dead bones as the Lord commanded and they came back to life. They became very great army (Ezek. 37). We should not look for who will prophesy into our lives. This is not the time to run around looking for prophesy but we should prophesy (speak, declare, decree) as the Spirit of the Lord gives us utterance. Whatsoever situation or area of our lives which was dried must receive life in the name of Jesus!
