Blessed be the name of the Lord our God who daily loads us with His benefits. Our God is good. A very present help in trouble and He knows those who trust in Him.

I would like to welcome you in this month of August which is our month of “THE LORD'S VENGEANCE”. “O LORD GOD, to whom vengeance belongs. O God to whom vengeance belongs. Shine forth. Rise up O judge of the earth” Ps 94:1.

Vengeance means to revenge, to retaliate, to fight back. 'Vengeance of God' means God fighting back for you.

The Psalmist called upon the Lord to avenge for him. He acknowledges that its God who knows how to fight.

There have been many troubles against humanity by the devil especially the children of God. When you read the bible, you will see how God unleashed His vengeance on the enemies. The devil is busy afflicting and oppressing the people of God. 14” I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  Jn 17:14. His mission on earth is clearly stated that he came to steal to kill and to destroy. (Jn 10:10)

His fight is to make sure God's glory is not revealed.  The devil is not happy when you are talking about the power of God. “For when he sees his children, the work of My hands among him, they will honor My name, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and they will stand in awe (surprise) of the God of Israel” Isa 29:23, Isa 43:7. The devil is disgrace by our testimonies. Our testimonies bring glory to the Lord. “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” Jn 12:32.

These are some examples of God executing His vengeance on those who rose against His children.

“6 In my distress I called upon the LORD AND cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears. 7 Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry. 8 Smoke went up from His nostrils, And devouring fire from His mouth; Coals were kindled by it”. Ps.18:6-8. When God hears your cry, He comes down with anger and execute vengeance on all who afflict you.

God fight for you because you are the apple of His eyes. He who touches you touches Him (Zech 2:8). You are also written/inscribed on the palms of His hands and your walls are continually before Him (Isa 49:16). You are the anointed of the Lord. He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, 15 Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” Ps. 105:14-15.

When Haman rose against the Jews in Babylon, they cried out to God in prayers and the Lord heard them. Haman was hanged on his gallows which he prepared against Mordecai on the same day he planned to destroy him. The evil decree against the Jews were changed to the glory of God. They reigned amid their enemies. Esther chapter 3-10.

Prayer Point: Let God arise and hang my Haman on his own gallows, in the name of Jesus.

“Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” Exo. 3:9-10. As God saw the oppressions of His children and how the enemy troubling them, He sent a deliverer who executed His judgement on the enemy. The people of Israel came out of Egypt with great riches and fear was on every side of the world because of what God has done on their enemies.

The vengeance of the Lord has begun! You may have been experiencing tough battles, however beginning from this month, I want you to understand that, your God has invited your enemies to battle just to execute His vengeance on them. Remember when God wanted to bury Pharaoh and his entire army in the red sea. God hardened Pharaoh's heart and allowed him to pursue the children of Israel. Therefore, fear not. Stand on that Rock that never fails and you will see the salvation of the Lord. Hallelujah!

“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord”. Rom. 12:19

“If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; 22 For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the LORD will reward you” Prov.25:21-22, Math 5:43-47

“ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”, 2 Cor 10:4-6.

This is the reason you should be wise in your physical confrontation. You need to wholly surrender the battle to Him and let Him lead you into victory. You should not fight like unbelievers but to fight with wisdom. You must know how to deal with the battle both physical and spiritual. “not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing” (1 Pet 3:9). Fight on your knees. Do not fight the vessels which evil powers are using. Fight the power behind it.

As God has promised to fight for you and you will hold your peace (Exo 14:14).  “Flee from the midst of Babylon, And every one save his life! Do not be cut off in her iniquity, For this is the time of the LORD's vengeance; He shall recompense her” Jer. 51:6. “Abstain from every form of evil” 1 Thess 5:22. “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” 2Cor 6:14.

“Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart”. 2 Tim 2:22. The vengeance of God is coming, and you cannot be part of sin.  You need to come out of that fornication, adultery, gossiping, lying, backbiting, stealing, masturbation, lust, pride, disobedience, etc. Gal 5: 19-21. May God grant you the grace to come out of all kinds of iniquities, in the name of Jesus. Let the pleasure of sin die in your heart, in the name of Jesus. Let God renew the joy of your salvation, in the name of Jesus.

'For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt”. Exo. 12:12-13.

We now need to give ourselves to Him in prayers and word for Him to execute His judgement as He has promised.  In this time of vengeance, abide in the blood of Jesus. Do not go out of the presence of God. Stay in His protection (Ps. 91:1). Stay/abide in Christ daily (Jn 15:1-5) by meditating on His Word (Josh 1:8). Provocation will come. Temptation will come but you should always pray to overcome all these temptations (Math 26:41). Also pray to obey the Lord for whoever obeys the Lord will be lifted (Deut 28:1-13), but whoever breaks the hedge of protection, a serpent shall bite (Eccl 10:8). As a child of God, you need to be in the house that is covered under the blood of Jesus. During the time of destruction of the firstborn of Egypt, if any Israelite firstborn could have moved to the house of any Egyptian, he/she would be dead.

“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper” Ps. 1:1-3.

“Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him” Ps. 68:1.

Child of God, it's time to call upon God to fight His battle.  May God defeat His enemies in your life, in the name of Jesus. God bless us all in Jesus name!

1. Father, I thank You for this month of August, in the name of Jesus.

2. I take authority over the month of August, in the name of Jesus.

3. You the month of August, cooperate with me and fight for me, in the name of Jesus.

4. Anything in my life that will make to be destroyed with the wicked, die, in the name of Jesus.

5. I receive the grace to come out of the assembly of the wicked, in the name of Jesus.

6. O Lord let Your will be my will and Your ways be my ways, in the name of Jesus.

7. Holy Spirit guide my thoughts, my words and actions, in the name of Jesus.

8. Let God arise and let His enemies scattered, in the name of Jesus.

9. O Lord defend Your interest in me, in the name of Jesus.

10. Father, anywhere I have lost the flavour, re-season me, in the name of Jesus.
